New premium service listings

Does anyone have any idea how these work ?

I listed 17 similar items through auctiva using the same template,all of which qualify for the premium badge. When I ran my listing analytics, 9 weren't even in the top 1000 listings. The other 8 started on page one but have dropped due to new listings

I understand auctions ranking higher as they end first, but even eBay customer support in Dublin have no idea what is happening.

There appears to be a bug where premium service listings are actually demoted rather than promoted. Since I got the premium badge, my listings (that would normally be on page 1) have been demoted out of sight.

Thought it was just me. According to eBay cs their technical team say there isn't a problem so have given them two item nos, one appears on page 1 (or did) and one isn't even in the top 1000 listings despite them being the same apart from photos

Makes me wonder why I am giving fee post etc

I have bread and butter BINS in a popular category, currently a basic search on key words returns over 7000 items. I have been on sabbatical for a Good month and have just relisted 3 BINs , one is already 8th on page 1 but I cannot find the other 2 BINs at all.

All 3 have the same keywords and all were relisted within 3 minutes of each other and all are the same price and show as premium listings. It seems odd that they are not all roughly in the same place .

They're just doing their usual and pretending there are no problems. Didn't you know that ebay is perfect and NEVER has any problems? Ever!

Apparently they've been introducing the Cassini search engine this month, which is why best match is all over the place.

According to the powerseller forum, revising your item can cause it to lose best match too, so if you revised your items to make them compliant with the new TSR regs, it may have compromised them in best match too.
