Key hole cover

Thought I'd start a separate thread rather than hijack another's.
I have a wooden front door with a 5-lever lock and door handles which look like this:
http://www.simplydoorhandles.co.uk/products/door-handles-door-handles-on-a-backplate/victorian-scroll-door-handle-dl54.asp
I assume the lock and the handles are actually separate, though I've not thought about it before today.
I'm getting a draught through the keyhole in winter. I've seen references to covered escutcheons on another thread (like this one), but they seem to be instead of the door handles, which I need to retain I think.
Does anyone know of door handles which also have a little cover over the keyhole in the back plate? I've done a search but can't seem to find this combination.

Hi
You are correct the lock and door handles are separate, we had the same problem some years back and after trawling many sites and shops with no joy I unscrewed the handles from the door and bought 2 keyhole covers, the hole at the top of the keyhole cover that took a screw I put a thin bolt in and then drilled the door handle so it then covered the key hole, then screwed the handles back in place.
I know it did take some time to find a pack of bolts thin enough to go through the hole bat was lucky in the end at a local cae place. Perhaps this could solve your problem :0)0 -
Thanks L50. Might bear that in mind. Interesting that you too couldn't find anything designed for this issue: in today's eco world you'd think someone would have done so.0
