Evening everyone, I am in need of your collective expert advise.
Dad has just turned up at my flat, after taking my sister into town. Just before dropping her off they stopped at a well known fast food outlet. Dad has parked up and headed inside with sister and after locating what they thought to be a door, headed towards it. Turns out it wasn't a door, but a window pane, and dad has walked into rather forcefully, causing his glasses to dig into side of eye and cut near his eyebrow. The cut is not huge but it is already starting to swell.
Manageress filled out accident form, but was rather unhelpful towards him. Worse of all is she openly admitted the window panes look so much like the doors this is not the first incident they've had, but I think this is first time it has caused bleeding.
Luckily he's got a reciept from their purchase and sister got contact details of witness, plus photo of window. Also taken photos and will see if the swelling grows by morning.
Issue now is with dad being self employeed, if eye swells up I doubt he'll be able to drive hence no work.
Is there anything I/we can do. Dad mentioned small claims court but neither of us have experience in it.
Any advice would be much appreciated. Thank you.
Hope he recovers quickly x"Sealed Pot challenge" member No. 138

my head is saying midnight as it makes sense. But then I don't want to have to get 3 boxes cancelled as that would look a little odd:o

I'll hazard a guess at the answer to this.
The correct time to sell is never.

I've now (finally:mad::o) got up the results of my impulse shop.

And...I'm pleased to say I can be entrusted with anyone's shopping!:D:rotfl: I got a rollback, the Prawn Cocktail crisps, but nicely non-comparable:T to T. The Dessert Apples also N/A at my chosen rival (but I thought/gut feeling knew they would be anyway). Bought more than the necessary 8 items, in case some of the 'fillers' I got (such as the SP Mandarins) failed to appear anyway but, if I thought that might happen, why even get them in the first place? (Perhaps not everyone will understand my logic in that question.)
Enter FC to explain ad nauseum...:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
As that's all from me for tonight,... and it turns out T were best, or equal best, price on every comparable item in my shop! (And Mr A best price on every non-comp. one, I assume:rotfl::rotfl:.) I think M used to have a version of SP Mandarins at 23p, but hasn't stocked that for a long while so it's now N/A vs M. Could have had 23p vs 23p a year or more ago. But now...at least it's not a price incr. A "SP" item!
Oh, reminds me, SP Scourers now seen at 30p in my A (maybe the 90p was me dreaming or maybe I looked at the wrong place? Thought I did see that though.) But in any event, it's some price increase! Over 50%. And - I assume - not appearing on msm, so still on my 'ban' list!:):)
Goodnight folks!!:):):wave:0 -

Thank you for that
I guess it takes them a few hours to get the offer up and running across the categories plus also across the country0
