Ive just been to put my 4 Guys and 2 cones away in what is turning out to be the stash wardrobe

I found a hot wheels easter egg, no problem, not very big and it will be scoffed at Downton Abbey time.
But I also found 3 After 8 eggs - not checked the dates but I don't usually mither about such things.
Has anyone any suggestions as to how I can use them up?
I was maybe thinking of making some sort of cake loaf (or possibly some large muffins, uniced) so I can freeze it and then off load it onto youngest son when he is here in November.
(Honestly I am not trying to poison him, I also give him loads of in date store cupboard stuff as well :rotfl:)
The mini bags of After 8 inside them will be good for Christmas stockings - deep sob, only need to do 2 this year as eldest son wont be home until April
Hugs for you this Christmas, the first Christmas is very hard. I have not had DS1 home for 3, coming up 4 Christmas, indeed he had not been back to the UK for this length of time. It is very hard, but we are getting used to it, such a shame that the costs of flights is ridiculous at Christmas time.

When do Christmas markets start ? I have never been to them in Manchester because I don't have time weekends with going mums
so would have to visit weekdays during school holidays. Or are they only on at weekends. Would love a meet up.
Well I am up for a trip into Manchester for Christmas markets if 2 of you are going as well - mind you whatever date suits everyone it will be the dates I am away :rotfl:
Or the Birmingham Christmas markets for that matter
Weekdays suit me as well“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -

I asked her to check my notes (again) and confirm it said in there that I needed notice before I go in!! She admitted that she too hadn't checked my notes.
The admissions manager phoned me the next day, apologised profusely about what's happened and for the fact I now need a 4th pre op
. But it's all sorted now......at last

My eldest son has worked the last 3 Christmas but this will be the worst as he has no leave and wont be back until April. Now he says he wont have as much leave as he thought so he is going back to Cyprus in May so we might end up doing a Christmas/Easter mash up
The 1st year he had only just been posted out literally at the start of December so he was completely out of his element but the chap he was on duty with took him back home and he had a proper family Christmas with his 2 kids boucing off the walls.
At least he has been able to call us on Christmas morning so at least its better than nothing. Where he is stationed now has good wi fi so he has skyped us twice already so at least we should be able to se him.
I lost my dad 2 weeks ago. He was in a care home and he really didn't bother much with Christmas even when he was in his own home. Even so its going to be a hurdle to cross.
On the bright side I will have youngest son and daughter home so I have to make it a very sophisticated grown up Christmas for them. I think youngest son will almost always be home for Christmas but daughter will be making her own nest sometime in the next 5 years - I think guilt makes her come home now :rotfl:“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove.
