Bananababe I can't believe that your friends went without food. I'm sure there's stuff they can sell? Wish I had one car let alone two! I don't think you should feel bad. Maybe invite them over and show them how easy it is to save money on food?

It always bugs me the difference between genuinely poor people (who don't have enough money) and people who have plenty, just manage it poorly. I know at the end of the day being in need is being in need but it still bugs me. We met a lady when I was down in Cornwall on my last job who due to changes in her incapacity benefit (and having to wait months for any money, being pushed from pillar to post) had to choose between sanitary towels and food. Terrible. And apparently people don't need crisis loans!

Going to C+C in a bit. I haven't ordered the toothbrush but am still excited to have my shopping for a lot less :D

Gosh that's terrible, poor woman. I'm not exactly sure how stuck my friend was. My hubby said same. If they can run 3 iPhone 5s they ain't hungry.

I have showed her using coupons, where to print them, showed her redspottedhanky. She said I'll look later.( five mins and their gone love) That was last august. 2012. She told me she needed to cut back. I said start with your bank account , cut back, think its starting to dawn on her.

But I still felt bad. I hope she learns eventually. Xx

At the moment we have a number of possible trigger items but only the Guylian and greens and black giving any return. The Guylians give the best return.

This is my list of possible triggers: (randoms and Vinnies biscuits the only ones I believe confirmed)

    vinnies rectangle tin 430g £5
    Cadburys fingers tin 375g £5
    Randoms jar 650g £5
    one direction tin 60g £5
    marvel comics and mug £5
    mcvities classic collection £5
    monsters university £5
safari van tin cad animals 200g £5
    party rings tin 300g £5

Can't remember who tested it yesterday but didn't someone say the 'Famous Names whisky Chocs' also a trigger. Can't see them even on A's wesite, but have seen them in my store. ;) (Have a feeling it's a green box, not the red one showing in T's, but don't re-quote me on this till confirmed. :o )

    Remember, Guys shells v T's.... and G&B bars v W. :money:

and my o/h says to me that if they stoped going out friday or saturday nite got rid of sky sports n movies and buget for food properly or even cooked a decent meal then they would be alright

im almost there with a deposit for a house and happend to mention it to few friends we had over for some tea the other nite (only cos there was the property post with big circles around the houses we liked :rotfl:

and all of them told us how lucky we are to be able to save :rotfl: and 2 of live at home rent free and good jobs but most just live beyond there means

me and o/h pointed out we dont have sky we havent had a holiday this year only our parents caravans last year (freeish) we only have one car now and that cheap to run adn insure most my friends have HP CARs , we moved to a cheaper area to live ,

i shop in charity shops (they all coment on how lush MY clothes and kids look and how nice my house is its mostly second hand or made:o:rotfl: i shop savy;)(thankyou u guys ) also cook from scratch a lot (none of my friends will woopsie shop or use a voucher:eek:

worst of all thou if they cook a joint of meat then after they had there meal from it they bin it:eek: (not if im there for food thou;)

one friend hates the "smell" of cold meat

another thinks you get food poisning (i wont tell her the curry the other nite was chicken from the day before:eek::rotfl:)

most just think you shuldnt do it

the money they waste on food going in the bin is unreal some times i want to shake them so much as they have money just waste waste waste

I'm needing to get tougher skin I think. I can look at their lifestyle and think its crazy.

Hubby and I idea of a night out is bella Italia(teskies vouchers) or brewers fayre(consumer pulse) then on to pics. More teskies. Don't get me wrong we could pay for it, but I can make a nice burger and fries or spag bol as good as them. We rarely drink. I had two bottles of zest recently that was my years in take !

We saved for three years to move and with his threat of redundancy had to wait and wait,

And its me handing out food parcels. I need to start thinking straight.

I agree. A lot of my friends would not think of using a voucher and as for woopsie shopping! Last few days we have been eating out of freezer as it is a lean month. DD wanted to cook the Tom Kerridge Fish burgers from last weeks show so on Sat night her dad was over for t ( she had fishcakes -3op woopsied and he had a BNI curry ) and we went out for a last minute shop looking for fish to Tesco but decided it was too expensive then went to Waitrose and got some lovely cheap ham, 2 chicken pies and 2 lots of lovely Mozzarella for less then £3.00. So I went to T on Sunday afternoon and got enough fish for the burgers for £1.29 down from £13.00 plus and used a 25p woopsied pack of prawns from W aswell.
You can eat well and save money if you shop around and are careful.
Just been doing an inventory upstairs and realise we badly need shower gel.
Off to A today for a rare visit so hopefully the 3 for £5,00 glitch is still working.
Are there more than one Radox working as a glitch. Dont need shampoo as I have a few!! JF

I don't know, but have you answered correctly, the op was asking about cb. strange to me its ok in t and not A
can I get the squishy squashy machines out, or have I read it wrong.:p

Careful as 3 Carlsberg (12) for £21 ends in T today so don't think it'll compare. Still get £12 Quidco for £24 spend A or £27 spend T.
