Apologies, I know there are lots of tablet threads.
My mum has just cancelled her BT home phone due to the rising cost of the line rental. She only has a basic mobile phone and at the moment we are all on diff networks.
I was thinking if I got her a basic tablet that I could set skype set up on and get a mobile wifi or pref something that would take a mobile stick(easier to top up) does anyone have any recommendations?
Thanks

You can consider Asus Memo Pad HD7 or Tesco Hudl if you want budget tablet. However, Is her eyesight OK? I am not sure if 7" suitable for her.
You would better bring her to shop and see if she need 7"/ 10"/ proper laptop.
By the way, what you should looking is mifi not usb 3G stick0
