How likely am I to break down on the way home?

  • Can you wait a bit later to go home till the traffic subsides? You'll be less likely to be stuck in stop-start cues which will just aggravate the issue.
This would be my ideal plan frankly but for various complicated reasons I need to be home at around the usual time (not childcare but I have someone picking me up from home that I can't put off)

I did my best with the coasting style of driving on the way in to work but the sheer volume of traffic means that there's little road available to coast along.

  • Do you have breakdown cover?

I do have breakdown cover. But like a fool I changed my phone last weekend and didn't copy over the account/company details to my new phone so I have no blinkin idea who my breakdown cover is with. Aaaaarrrgghggh! There's no one at home I can call and check with either as my better half is working late. He doesn't drive sadly or I'd be I'd be pulling a "I'm six months pregnant and scared routine on him"

If you have internet banking and know what account and approximately when the cover was bought then maybe you can search for it
  • Sadly I never bring my security keypad thingy with me to work so no luck there.

    so blamed wearing ballet flats

Are worn ballet flats expensive to repair? How often do they wear out? Where are they in the car?

Sorry, couldn't resist, hope you got home ok and dad comes to the rescue tomorrow. And don't forget to sort out your contact for breakdown cover, never know when those ballet flats are going to go again :)
