Hi
advice please! I have a RBS credit card which I took only because it had 16 months interest free payments. I have £250 left to pay and the interest free period runs out in December 2013. I will clear this outstanding amount and will not be completing any further purchases using the card.
My question to the wise amongst you is, should I close the card down, or leave it open and not use it? which best affects my credit report
Thanks to all

It depends on your other available cards, limits and income. Alway wise to have at least a couple of cards available to you, and use them on a regular basis.0

If this is the only card you have :
You could apply for another card before you clear the balance then close,so you have always got one card active with the 0% spending option on the new card available when you need it.It's nice to be Important
But It's Important to be nice0 -
thanks or the replies.
I already have a MBNA card which I use for normal purchases and gives me a 1% payback. The RBS card was only applied for, for a big purchase which I have gradually cleared interest free over the last 13 odd months. Does having 2 cards irrespective of whether I am not going to use one of them (RBS) enhance your credit report or detract and make you look as if you already carry too much credit on your credit reports. I currently have a zero balance on my MBNA card.
