Attaching wooden ramp to wooden rabbit hutch

Hi,
I'm hoping someone can help with what I'm sure is a very simple enquiry, but I'm a bit of a DIY novice! Sorry for the very basic diagrams!
I have purchased a rabbit hutch which sits on top of a run. Access between the two levels is via a ramp in the floor of the hutch. Unfortunately, when moving the hutch, this wooden ramp broke at the top where it was screwed to the hutch floor. The below picture hopefully shows what the ramp was like originally - a piece of wood with a piece of metal at an angle at the top, which was screwed into the floor of the hutch.

The ramp has broken so that the metal is still screwed into the hutch floor, but the ramp is detached. So it will need reattaching to the hutch as shown in the below picture:

This is a view from above - the square on the left is the opening in the hutch floor which the ramp goes down.

My question is, how would I best be attaching the ramp back to the hutch. Would using a strong wood glue work, to glue the top of the ramp to the hutch (as in where the red circle is on the second picture?) Would that likely be strong enough to support two small rabbits walking up and down it?
Any help much appreciated!

Hinge and screws would seem easiest.0

If the wood won't take a screw again, screw a batten [blue] underneath the top layer of wood, either on one or both of the pieces to be attached, and then screw the hinge or bracket above or below to join the two

Thanks all, a hinge seems the best way so I'll give that a try.
Thanks again!0
