    Morning everyone,

Dumpling Glad that things are being sorted out for your DD.

Hester Glad that you are finally being appreciated at work.

    Molly, LW, Hilstep Hugs.

The open evening last night was very long but very productive, lots of people wanted to do my subject next year.

Today is also my birthday. DD2 made me a cup of tea first thing this morning which brightened my day no end.

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

Julie did you get sorted with the Yoga kit? For anyone just starting out this would be an ideal kit, you get a mat, a block and 3 different weights of bands.

Lamewolf did you find some info on Yoga with knee problems, I can point you to some links if you need it

Hester lol at you being an oldie;)

Dumpling glad your DD has got sorted. I understand fully your turn the other cheek attitude, my religion(LDS) has the same idea. Yes sometimes I feel anger about things, but a greater person is always watching and has a way of sorting things out.

TTFN Hope job news comes your way soon:D

    Morning

    moorhen happy,birthday

NPM what a beautiful place to live , I live about 5 mins drive away and spend a lot of time there , partly because the garage I use for my car is in low Bradfield lol. I do enjoy the the 3 mile walk round the dam too . Apart from the school rooms is there still a Saturday market selling meat and stuff? Is it worthwhile , I haven't been I assumed it would be above my budget.
I'll have a look at the bradflix link - thanks x

Not done very much today , not really feeling it . going to pick dd2 up from 6 th form at 12 and then go to the supermarket for the weekly shop .

NPM could you share your corned beef hash SC recipe , I have a tin of corned beef and been looking at recipes but cant decide

Have a good day everyone xx

    Morning :)

Sitting here scoffing some brunch before tackling my jobs.
Been to school harvest festival service as kids were participating. I am not a church goer but it was nice to see a vicar with lots of personality and singing plough the fields and scatter took me right back to primary school

Light drizzly rain here so washing will have to hang indoors. Must pin H down about getting the condenser dryer I was promised.
We are off to order new sofa set tomorrow as our 16 year old sofa has given up the ghost so may as well spend a bit more money while I am at it ;)

Made lemon sponge cake yesterday with lemon curd filling and it's nearly all gone between H (who originally turned his nose up) and the kids. Not sure any more baking will happen today but will have to see.

Tea will be a sneaky fish and chips from chippy.

Hugs and spoons all round xx

Dumpling so glad you and your DD feel better, hope this is the end of it now xx

Hester sorry but I did :rotfl: a bit. I think I'd be more annoyed at the fact that despite all the work you do for her she doesn't even know your name!

Moorhen Happy birthday, have a great day

TTFTM positive vibes the perfect job comes your way xx

  • sistercas There is a farmers market in the village hall every 3rd Sat from 9 till 3. Can get a coffee or tea and bacon sarnie and have a browse.
Yes the meat is expensive but we just use less meat by having veg based meals too.
There is also Flask end ie the Post office in the village which has a cafe in and they sell chutneys and local honey etc. can take dogs in on their walks and get your flask topped up.... Hence the name. Also Our Cow Molly further up😊
Corned beef hash.... Don't have a recipe as such. I chop onions, carrots, potatoes and corned beef.... Sometimes swede but not too much as it takes over.
Put them in slow cooker with some stock to come halfway up, seasoning and a bit if Hendoes then just leave it cooking all day.
You can slice or cube some extra potatoes and layer on top then when cooked dot some butter over and put in oven or under grill to brown up
  • animated-smileys-birthday-049.gif Moorhen I hope that you have a great day.

Dumpling I am so glad you have things sorted, but still get DD to keep a diary, because once it has all blown over it could start up again when the bullies think that the coast is clear.

Hester that did make me chuckle, she would be horrified to know that you still have a S.E.X life :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
At least you have been missed which is a good thing :D

Popped down to Farmfoods and Wilkos this morning to get some bits and the rain stayed off, but I forgot to put a prescription in, luckily it can wait until Monday because I still have enough drugs to keep me going until Wednesday.
I need to go and see the doctor again, I am not sleeping because of my knees and tramadol no longer touches the pain which is not a good sign, so I will see if she can give me something different.

DH just cooked me a nice lunch of bacon, eggs, tomatoes and mushrooms so I am off to nom nom nom it :D

That'll be a long way back to the Dark Ages then Bitsy! Floss runs off giggling!
....Hester sorry but I did :rotfl: a bit....

Have to admit that I did too :o

Not much OS going on - just the regular vague attempts to keep on top of the housework. Suprising how much is generated by 2 adults - especially when one is away up to 4 nights a week! I do everything in one go the night before he's due home (but don't tell him - he think's I'm a Domestic Goddess :rotfl::rotfl:)

    Hi all

Bargainbird healing vibes for the Ridgy (I love those dogs - there used to be two went to the pub we used to visit; Chaka and Maud) but  at the owner letting the poor dog off the lead without proper obedience training.

NMP I haven't had time to look for videos re yoga for dodgy knees as yet - I guess I need one of those "roundtuit" things.

    From yesterday's thread:
RIP kenwood mixer you had a good life (it was from the 70's ) so can't complain. I was creaming butter and sugar, turned away and then turned back and it was smoking! I left it outside in the rain to cool off.
As much as I would love another Kenwood I can't justify the price having just spent £500 on service and repairs for my car.
Can anyone suggest a reasonably priced alternative?
Hasn't it heard about Stoptober?:rotfl:I'll get my coat.
Seriously though, I have a Bosch that seems to do all a Lupie with dodgy paws could want.:o

Edited to add - I don't want to come across as a 'Holy Joe' and appreciate that our way would not suit everyone. Believe you me, yesterday I was absolutely raging and had murder in my heart but for my own sake I need to know that there is something/someone bigger than me who can deal with all the crap life hands out. I'm also aware that there are people on here who have been badly affected by bullying and I want to apologise for anything said that has triggered painful memories.
Don't worry - I'm of a different religion from yours, and was bullied horribly at school (little b*tches used to pull my hair out literally in clumps) but you didn't upset/offend me at all. I'm just glad to hear that Something Is Being Done.:o
All my illusions about myself were shattered yesterday, I have been received back at work with much joy and jubilation (lots of people are scared of the photocopiers) one of our BAC TA's saw me and said. 'I'm so glad you are back, I can't use your machines, last time I tried I got down on my knees beside the machine and prayed, I prayed so hard, I asked God to please return THE LITTLE OLD LADY who runs these machines'. I'm grateful for her prayers, but little old lady, I'm 62, less of the old please. I accept that the children think I'm old, but this lady is in her mid 40's
Awwww. (((HUGS))) Sorry, but I did have to laugh; specially as I'm considering a proper Croning ceremony when I hit the big Six-Oh.:D
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
