i bought some items from sports direct yesterday at 1pm and paid extra for next day delivery,i have been tracking it today as yodel are supposed to be delivering it today,i contacted yodel as it looked unlikely that it would be delivered.They have had the order since 2am this morning and have now informed me that it will not be delivered until tomorrow.am i within my rights to ask sports direct for the extra money i paid for next day delivery as yodel says i need to speak to them regarding postage costs.

    Yes they should refund next day delivery. Just email them.

    Email them again and ask that they reply with something other than an automated response. What did you say? Sounds like someone's either misinterpreted your mail or, more likely, simply not read it.

    If you have no joy with a further email, is there a phone number?

    That sounds like a generic email response.

    Just email back and say you paid for next day delivery and you did not receive the item next day. Therefore you want a refund for the difference in cost between next day and standard.

    They'll refund as this happens all the time.

    I would wait until the goods are delivered before chasing this up. You can then show them, via the tracker, that the goods were actually delivered later than +1 day.

    True, but today still has 4.5 hours to go. My thoughts were that when (tomorrow) the tracking shows delivery has been made, there then can be no dispute that delivery was late.
