hi sorry if there is a thread already. i feel the need to vent. was looking at mens red herring coats one in the light blue was £16.80. the one in navy the exact same style was £38.80. so i emailed head office asking why this was. got a couple of responses. then a phone call from the menswear manger saying the reason why the price difference is one is autumn stock and the other is summer. .

Its pretty normal to be honest. They are trying to get rid of the least popular colour,
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.

See it all the time, something I like in the sale but wish there was another colour, find a better colour for me only to see its not in the sale.

I do not see what your gripe is.

This happens all the time in sales. The whole point of them is to clear stock that has not sold/is not selling and very often certain colours are cheaper than others for this very reason.
  • This got you angery? I hate to think how you react to real problems!

As McKneff explains this is simple supply and demand. I can't believe anyone would be surprised at it, let alone angry!

I think people are so used to fake (e.g. furniture shops) sales that they are surprised at some of the restrictions if the ever encounter a genuine sale.
There are two types of people in the world: Those that can extrapolate information.

In fairness light blue is a summer colour and navy blue is a winter colour so I can see the difference.
