End Panels needed?

Hi all

We are about to order a kitchen from DIY kitchens, the luca Dakar.

Now given it is a Matt finish, and the carcass is the same colour, do we need end panels for the units or not?

Any views welcome!

  • if you have the budget its always a good idea to have end panels. Fit them to the front of the door rather than to the front of the cabinet for a good look. They also save returning the plinth and pelmet etc which gives a neater finish and looks v nice

Fit them so that the front edge is flush with the edge of the door rather than flush with the edge of the cab or physically fit them to the door? I know what you mean but it don't half read funny on the page as is. ;)

A Kitchen always looks better with end panels, As Steve says it saves returning the plinth and then having to edge them or fit a plastic corner.

If they will significantly add visually to the finish then go for them.
Also if they are going to cover up joints and avoid other fiddly bits.
Another consideration is if you don't have them in certain places will that irritate/annoy you in the long term?
