Just been approved for the above card obtained to BT 5K from my 0% GE Money card which is coming to an end on 8th Jul. I know I will be charged the capped balance transfer fee of £50 but just wondered if there was a way to pay this before the BT hits the card to avoid paying interest on it at 16.9% I know it won't be a huge amount but every penny counts and I very vaguely remember reading about a way to do this!
Thanks

I BT'd to a MS B&F card last December and haven't been charged interest on the BT fee.
I don't remember reading anything in subsequent notices of variation received to say that this has changed since.
EDIT: They apply the same rate of interest (ie 0%) to the BT fee as they do to the balance transferred. From the T&C's (definitions)...Special Transaction - means a Balance Transfer, Purchase or Cash Advance which benefits from a preferential rate of interest or other preferential terms which we may make available to you when your Account is opened (in which case the rate is set out in Condition E) or which we tell you about under Condition 6;
Special Transaction Balance - means the amount you owe us in respect of Special Transactions to which preferential interest rates continue to apply including any handling fee and payment protection insurance premium relating to these sums;0
