itunes playlist to iphone.

What am I doing wrong? I have made a playlist up in i tunes but when I connect my iphone to itunes and try to drag this playlist up to iphone icon, the playlist title does move but has a red circle, with a red line through it. Like a no entry sign and of course the play list does is not dropped onto my iphone.

I'm not sure drag & drop works - normally I would go into the Music section of the iPhone within iTunes, then tick the playlist there.1. Have you tried to Google the answer?

You're doing it wrong* (* = is what Apple would say!)
Don't drag and drop. If you've got your playlist ready, plug in your iPhone, and click that iPhone button you were trying to drag to.
Along the top you should see Music, Videos etc
Click music, and you can then choose to sync everything (or whatever you can fit on) or just certain playlists, or even artists, genres and all sorts. Choose only selected playlist, tick the one you want, and click Apply, or Sync or something. If it's a big playlist it might take a while, but there's a progress indicator up top.0
