If you feel your personal information has been compromised you could ask the board guides to delete your account, they can do this in exceptional circumstances, but won't do it if it's a case of you just don't fancy your posts being out there any more.

ohwell.... don,t mind , like I said before it,s a very long story and I may be being silly. Really not going into detail as to why I want to delete one particular thread. It isn,t all of them by the way

Click on your username, then 'find more posts by raq' and you should be able to see posts you have made and threads you have posted. Go into each one individually, click 'edit', and then either 'delete' or, if it was the first post in a thread, delete the text and replace it with something such as 'post deleted' or something.

I think it doesn't need to be embarrassing posts or similar. I for instance started a diary but only use it once in a blue moon now as I am more on other threads, so there is no point having it and it would be good to be able to delete it rather than it just sitting there unused.

'Find more posts' should bring up all of your previous posts. Open the one that you want to delete and then click on the 'edit' button at the bottom. This will bring up a number of options including 'delete' Click on delete. Under your message you will see two further options, 'delete this message' and 'do not delete message'. Select the 'delete this message' option, and the click on the button at the bottom. Your message should have been deleted.
Or you can email the mods and ask them to delete the thread - I'm not sure what the rules on this are though.
