Oh as far as your bunkers / work tops go, if you get them fitted by someone who can do the equivalent of a tongue and groove fit (can't think of what you call it, but hope you know what I mean), then you barely notice the join.
My bunker is approximately 14ft long with a single join as above, and looks a lot better and barely noticeable compared to the previous one where I had silver joining strips on a black bunker which did stick out like a sore thumb and got bits of food stuck under now and again, hence the butt join (could that be what the join is called) is much neater and easier to clean.
If you get a black bunker and there is a little white showing on the but it's easily disguised by shading it in with a pencil, pen, marker, eye liner or even shoe polish.
Hopefully my rambling is helping and not too excessive.0
