Visa

Sorry if this isn't the right place to put this.

When someone applies for a partner/fiance visa, does their sponsor (partner/fiance) have a credit check run on them or is the information given enough.
If all else fails, buy a new pair of shoes.

When my nephew wanted to bring his Turkish wife of 2 years into the country, not only did he have to provide bank statements, his parents did too!

No, no credit check. But read the instructions VERY carefully, because if the smallest detail is wrong, or if any of the required documentation is missing, the the application will be declined and the (hefty) fee not refunded.

yep, this is very good advice. Gather all the paperwork, evidence, and proof you need, as laid down in the visa guidance for sponsors of partners/fiances. Remember, you are just a number to the staff who will be scrutinising your case, so make sure all those I's are dotted, T's crossed, and everything presented is above board and is at least, if not more, than what is required.
