voltage and battery rechargers- help please!!

Hello,

I am going to Uganda on Saturday and I want to take my digital camera. I'd much rather take my rechargerable batteries than loads of disposables (or a travel battery charger for £20!).

As far as I can work out, Uganda is on the same voltage as us and has the same shaped plugs. Does anyone know if this means my battery charger will work?

It should work fine they are on the same voltage and frequency as the UK and the same type of plug.

We tried our charger in the US and it resulted in poor charges so we bought a charger from the US and it sorted the problem for us

I'm going to the middle of nowhere so no option to buy a new one but hopefully it will work. I'll take a few disposables as back up. Thanks for your help.
