Vehicle Signwriting

I am soon to start my own business and one of the main ways of getting clients will be through advertising on my van.

Does anyone know where the best place to get my van sign written? And what price would I be expected to pay? Its only a small van (Renault Kangoo) but I would want as much as possible on there. If I can afford it I would want front, sides and back for best exposure.

Anyone have any experience with vehicle sign writing?

Thanks

Anywhere local. Try the yellow pages.

Have a chat to a couple and see what they can do for how much.

I was just wondering if anyone had a 'usual' price really, to make sure I can afford it before getting quotes that I can't possibly afford!

I have had a quote to redo my transit both sides, back and front for £320 for 2 colour vinyl. So may be £250 with your size van.

You can play it simple with pre-cut vinyl lettering you can apply yourself, many firms will prepare and cut ready for application in a variety of colours. By far the most impressive is a vehicle colour wrap, which can include large logos or pictures (look at any Sky installers van). The price starts at around £750, but you get a van that looks new.

You pay your money and take your choice! Signwriting is very last century!

I need a custom job because I want to put my logo on the van and more if it is in my price range.

I don't care if sign writing is last century if it gets me the bookings!!

You need to get on Google.

If you are near London the Creative FX are a very good company.

They do all kinds of wraps and vehicle signage.

The did a chrome and black Metro for Fifth Gear and also chromed a car for Elton John I think.

Spending a bit more now will result in a more professional appearance, longer lifespan and better return on investment.

I wouldn't advise doing the cheap method of DIY as it would likely look rubbish beside an identical business that had spent £5/600 on a top spec wrap.

Buses and Taxis are two vehicles you see on the road that have wraps applied, though they are not done that well but you can see the quality of the actual graphics, add that to a really good application and you have a vehicle that really stands out and send a message.

I suppose it depends on what your business is.

If, for example, you are a landscape gardener then a couple of magnetic signs at £50 each would suffice.

    Thanks guys,

I have been doing some googling this evening and have found quite a few local companies so I think my next step is to visit a couple to discuss what I need.

Thank you for all your help!

Just make sure that the spelling is correct, and that whoever does it knows how to use apostrophes. I wouldn't rate any trader who could not get that sort of detail right.
I used to think that good grammar is important, but now I know that good wine is importanter.

If you could also tie in the reg number with the business, it'll make all the difference

Change is inevitable, except from a vending machine.
