FWIW, I took in a post-dated cheque today. Worked a treat - thanks.
  • If it is Swinton (Nasty company) they will deduct any cash back / additional discounts from the cancellation refund which can amount to a substantial amount
I am another one who avoids Swinton like the plague.

Swinton wouldn't insure my new as in brand new car for some reason so I said cancel the policy and I would go elsewhere.

They wanted the cash back I got back and with their cancellation fee it actually came to more than I had paid for my insurance.

I just left the old policy running and each year, even though I have told them I no longer have that car, they send a renewal notice.

I am in the process of getting quotes for home insurance and even although they are the cheapest so far I won't get my insurance from them.
Getting forgetful, if you think I've asked this before I probably have. :rotfl:
