Health insurance - AXA?

Hello all, just seeking your opinion on health insurance...

My sister-in-law had a scare a few weeks back when she had a cancerous mole removed from her upper. The continual cancellations of consultations (once), appointments (once) and the surgery (twice) by the NHS only added to her woes. It's now been cut out and she's fine, but it got my fiancee and I thinking, and talking.

I've called around today and spoken to BUPA (£49 per person for post-diagnosis cover), AXA (£47 for comprehensive cover, similar to BUPA), Beneden (around £20 so cheap but no cancer cover) and various others.

I'm liking AXA - they seem to have a good policy, and what's more they have access to a really good private hospital only a 10 min drive away. The cover would be post GP referral to post-surgery. It would cut average waiting times from around 18 weeks to a lot fewer, possible within 3 - 4 weeks as well as getting the medicine and rugs not necessarily available on the NHS. My parents are with them (no bonus) and have been impressed - they pay a little more as in mid-50s.

My fiance and I are both in our lates 20s and fit. No long term health concerns.

Anybody have any opinions< Anybody with or have any knowledge on AXA?

I'm not overly fussed about the £47 - we both budget and I'm of the opinion that your health can't be compromised.
