Quality Web Site Design At Third World Prices? Is It Possible?

Hello,

I want to set up a Website Highlighting Medical Matters I need it to get good Google Rankings in Search Engine Listing.

This is purely a non commercial website,

I have seen Website's Online where Web Developers bid against each other Auction style.

Anyone know a decent site to go to for these services/

MSE Martin Lewis mentions he got " I paid a web designer in Uzbekistan £100 to design a proper site. This was launched on 20 February 2003," not sure of the Website he got for his money:)

I did a search on the forums and found nothing Martin has not featured Any bargain Website Builders from the 3rd world yet:money:

    Heya !

Im a student so im allways looking for something to do, if you could PM me or e-mail me (PM for address) with the details of what you want, i can sort out something. Im not going to ask for hundreds of £££££ but ill probbally just ask for a little bit to cover cost of domain/hosting/website etc.

I have made quite a few sites, mainly from word of mouth, ill also provide you with a domain name and hosting for a year.

I cant say im an expert.....but i have been reccommened around my area, and im in the UK (London)

designing a site, and getting high in the google rankings are two entirely different matters.
on the first matter get a copy of dreamweaver and diy. take a nice website off the www copy the code, and change it to suit yourself.
on the second matter, companies that offer to shoot you up in the rankings, only do what you can do yourself. and most of them are pretty useless at it.
    dont waste your money. beware.
    Get some gorm.

I agree with ormus, its very hard to get into the top ranking in google unless you pay for sponsored ad's.

You can find free website templates at http://www.oswd.org/ (they do have some nice ones)

Although you will need to know some basic HTML.

    You can learn HTML at:

    http://www.lissaexplains.com/

If you dont feel like learning HTML, you can use a WYSIWYG editor, dreamweaver is a good one if you have the money, im sure you can find many others.

generally quality websites at third world prices just dont exist. If I was you I would put you're thinking cap and on learn it yourself, nobody expects non-profit websites to look super pro anyway the content is more important.

Content, accessability and relevent links to your website is what will get you to the top of the search engines. It is no easy process though and there are many hoops to jump through, start following SEO forums and SEO expert blogs and you will soon pick up all the info you need.

Hey thats pretty ingenious :) Dreamweaver expensive?
Long story but the Medical Profession have disabled me by giving Dodgy Medication,
It was a private hospital too, they took 12 months to partially answer a letter,
and the Consultant who gave me the Meds never warned me of the dangers of any permanent side effects in writing or verbally beforehand,

The Consultant told me to get out of the hospital and go back into the Public
    Health Care System

I have been diagnosed as having drug induced Parkinson, loss of use of left arm, left leg and balance too,it also has given me extra depression,

Been a woman of Straw I tried to use the LegalAid Board to sue them, long story they said I had no case a Law Professor in the UK said I did have one

Its just the LegalAid Board trying to Penny Pinch apparently he said that the Medical Profession & Legal Aid Profession are very much in bed with each other.
I am not really interested in winning vast amounts of money, its the principle of the matter.

Thats why my only form of protest now is to stick up a website highlighting what goes on in this Prestigious Private Hospital with a view to forming a Pressure Group to take action against them.

This is NOT a Self Pity Lark just explaining the situation as it stands.

    Thanks,

    Heidy

    A bit misleading I think...

"generally quality websites at third world prices just dont exist" - they do exist, just look at https://www.scriptlance.com (et al), where the World can bid on your projects and that does include very high quality at Third World prices. I know, I have used them.

"designing a site, and getting high in the google rankings are two entirely different matters." - true to a point, design of a site and rankings are more interlinked than you may think, a site put together using pure .css is more likely to do well in the Google results, than one built using HTML and tables for example. CSS pages would load faster for a start.

"on the first matter get a copy of dreamweaver and diy. take a nice website off the www copy the code, and change it to suit yourself."

I would not steal somebody else's design, use a template, it has already been mentioned above https://www.oswd.org - they offer css templates that you can download for free. Then use a designer to knock you up some logo's for a few quid

I have found these 2 websites build your own https://www.tiptopwebsite.com
it has no live support though its very cheap it has message boards as well.

Also this one https://www.siterightnow.com they wanted me to go for their most expensive plan thats over $30-00Usd a month it has search engine optomisation build in to it?
$19-95 Usdollars annual fee for domain registration.

I asked if they could upgrade the message forum they do they said they could not!
As for templates they could design one for a charge.

I explained about "Dreamweaver" the guy said it was difficult to use is that true are there more user friendly ones.?

Not to mention the price ripping of the code for a forum or tempilate is not very ethical but I need to save money because I am a wreck on Disability

I will ask that student to assist in this if possible I will pay him what I can not asking for charity, its a very basic site its best to start simple anyway.

I never really got to grips with Dreamweaver. Expensive and complicated.
Maybe something like "The Ten Minute Web Site" would help you?

DreamWeaver is expensive, but it is good. It may be worth looking around for some open source software. I use something by Evrsoft's 1stPage2000, but I do have the free version, which I think they have removed for download...
http://www.evrsoft.com/1stpage2.shtml - it is very good and cheaper than DW, but it would require you knowing some HTML to proceed.

Go to https://www.oswd.org and get a template is best way forward and find a cheap host... I would highly recommend https://www.fuzioned.com for hosting

    Cheers
