iPhone keeps searching for network

Hi
I wasn't sure If this should go here or in the mobile board.
I have an iPhone 4S. I've had it a year and nothing has ever gone wrong with it. Two days ago I noticed it was searching for the network. I have tried turning the phone off and on again and taking the sim out and in again and still no network.
I'm with 02. I've looked on the 02 website and it doesn't say there are any network interruptions.
Does anyone know what the problem is? I've not dropped the phone or knocked it. I have only been able to use wi fi on the phone for two days, no phone calls, no texts and no mobile data.

that's usually what happens when the phone has been barred by the network . I would speak to 02 and find out what the problem is as it sounds like they may have blocked your phone .
it says on apple troubleshooting -
iPhone: Troubleshooting No Service
Symptoms
iPhone may display one of the following symptoms in the status bar:
Displays No Service or Searching in an area of good coverage
Does not regain service when returning to an area of coverage
Resolution
If you encounter any of the above symptoms on your iPhone, try these steps to attempt to resolve the issue. Test after each step.
Try turning iPhone off and then on again.
Remove the SIM card and verify that it is a valid, carrier-manufactured SIM. Also verify that it is not damaged, worn, or modified. Then reinsert it.
Check for a carrier settings update. Tap Settings > General > About while connected to a Wi-Fi network. If an update is available, a prompt should appear soon. If Wi-Fi is not available, connect your device to iTunes.
Update your iPhone to the latest version of iOS.
Restore the iPhone.
If you're still experiencing No Service issues, contact your carrier to check for any network or account issues that could cause this issue.0
