Broken lap top

Hi all,
I claimed for a broken lap top on my insurance last year, which they replaced with a Zoomstorm Fizzbook through a company called BUY IT DIRECT. This laptop has also broken, so I phoned my insurance company who in turn redirected me to BUY IT DIRECT who in turn passed me to ZOOSTORM (the manufacturer), I explained to Zoomstorm that my laptop was structurally broken but not technically. They asked for photos which I sent and upon there inspection of the photos they told me that it was accidental damage, I told them that this had not been damaged in any way shape or form and that I felt that it is a manufacturing fault, they then told me that the fault had never occurred before (a first time for everything I say). Having already inspected this through photos they have said that I can return it to them for further inspection and they will charge me £62.00 for the pleasure.
What I would like to know is who should I go to, am I right in saying that BUY IT DIRECT should help me as they are the supplier of the goods and not the manufacturer or is it the insurance company that should help me as they purchased for me on my behalf ???
all very confusing your advise would be very welcome
thank you
lisa

You didn't buy the goods from But IT Direct, your insurer did - so they are who you need to speak to first.
Not sure what rights you have, though, as you didn't actually "pay" for the goods.Nothing I say represents any past, present or future employer.0
