I have a Canon PowerShot A430 which has a 128M memory card. I need something with a bigger memory, possibly a 1GB. Can anyone recommend a supplier please?

If its sd your after try ebuyer (like this). I use them a fair bit. However they do have a reputation for poor customer service, but i have not had any real problems.

SD are really cheap at the moment.

I too have the Canon PowerShot A430 camera, excellent camera.

I bought it from Amazon last year, see they are doing the A460 now for about the same price.

I bought 2 x 1GB SD cards at the same time as the camera from Amazon(Viking), I took the sticky label off and noticed they were Toshiba ones (don't know if all are Toshiba or they buy various makes in and slap a sticker on it). I've had no problems at all with them. Though Amazon don't appear to be selling them themselves now.

They have http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sandisk-1Gb-Secure-Digital-card/dp/B00065KA7C/ref=sr_1_5/202-6210138-1164640?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1181851254&sr=1-5 though if you want free delivery you need to spend £15.

You have to be careful with eBay for memory and memory cards, but then you do for DVDs and CDs too.

I've used eBuyer and 7 Day Shop To for various items including memory cards and had no problems at all.

Delivery is £3.95 at 7 Day Shop (not the fasted of deliveries, but no problems with the company and items).
It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!

Thanks to you all. Sorry for being thick but the cards shown are different from mine. They have notches on the sides where mine is flat all round apart from the bevelled edge at the top corner. Also the metal contacts on mine are all straight where the ones shown have one contact offset. The existing card is about twice as big as a postage stamp and has MMC-16M on the label. Is mine a mini or what??

Excellent prices and v fast delivery.

I wouldn't use ebay - from reading photography forums it seems there would be a real danger of ending up with a fake card.

The Canon camera you have takes both MMC and SD cards, you have an MMC card, the ones linked to are SD cards.

Yes, hence my comment too about eBay, too many fakes to take the chance.
