Electoral roll help

Hi everybody,
this may come across as a stupid question but I can never seem to get clarification!
Basically I lived at 'home' for 3 years with my parents before moving out renting with some friends, I made a change to my electoral roll letting them know about my new 'rented' address.
After a couple years I moved out and moved BACK to 'home' with my parents where I have been for the last 18 months on the electoral roll.
So my question is, when filling in forms for credit/mortgages etc. do I say I have been at my current address -18 months- or -3 years and 18 months- ?? I obviously want to get this correct because the wrong answer will go against me when applying for some sort of credit.
Thanks for reading, hope you can help!

When they ask the question, they are asking about continuity.
So the correct answer is 18 months. They will then ask for your previous address, and some will want previous to that (depending on how much history they want) which puts you back at your parents.CHALLENGES MAR'14:

would you say you usually have to be BANG on when answering? will it go against someone if they put a month too early or too late? That seen as telling porkies?0
