Are searching the MSE forums and android compatible?

OK, its annoying me now! This may well be my lack of braincells, but I'm having problems searching these very forums using either of my 2 android devices (Sony xperia z and pipo tablet). If I click to search a forum the search box appears, I click into the text box and it moves higher up my display and the keyboard appears, all what I'd expect. However, the keyboard and search box then immediately disappear leaving me with the page displayed as if I hadn't instigated a search at all!
If it was just the tablet I could easily put it down to my dodgy Chinese purchase but the xperia z does it too. Both are running android 4.2.2. However, the xperia was doing this prior to upgrade on 4.1.0.
Can anyone shine any light on this problem?

I have a similar problem on my Nexus 4. Every time I click on a link the page jumps down and a different link is selected.
For a website that sold for 87 million, I am somewhat surprised a mobile compatible version is not available.

So would anyone know who I'd need to contact to find out if there are any plans to contend with these problems?0
