Can you let this first time buyer know that he needs to do his research very quickly, otherwise the whole chain might collapse?

i.e. if you loose your house, obviously you can't sell yours, then your buyers can't sell theirs etc...

The FTB might not realise how crucial this all is!
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

Can somebody inform the whole country that while they think there is something wrong with timber frame to stamp their feet and bang on the ceilling!

    What am I on about?

Well sinse floors and roofs are made out of timber how come theres such a problem with walls being made out of timber?

For the record - Timber frame is now the choice of builders not 'because they are cheaper' or 'inferior-er' :)

In the passed (past what ever) everything relied on the brickies doing their job. No one could do anything untill they had finished. So with the @rsepants weather we suffer from, everything was held up cos you cant lay bricks in the rain.

But now, a timber frame goes up and all the other trades can get on with their job inside and the brickies doing the single brick layer cladding on the outside come and go as the weather dictates.

In effect the brickies can be last on the job and not first, the weather that used to hold up building sites for weeks on end is now a thing of the passted <--- i did both their :)

Timber frame isn't exactly new, has happened for a long time in Scotland and the Islands.

The materials etc. may not be cheaper nel, but as you say there is more flexibility in the construction.

So, because brickies are not being paid while standing around waiting for the rain to stop, ultimately it does work out cheaper.

    Doesn't it?

They dont get paid by time they get paid per thousand bricks laid.

Except for labourers pretty much every one is on a set price.
