Took them 10 days to get the money back into my account, i have not received any compensation and I don't think they took my complaint seriously, I will not be banking with RBS again. Looking for a new account now, and will be taking advantage of the 7 day switchover asap!


Thanks to everyone who helped, it has now been resolved, I have my money back and will be moving my account to a better bank!

If you got a complaint number then the complaints deoartment will be writing to you to summarise the solution. That'll likely be when they mention any compensation.

This issue is with POS payments nothing can be done with them until the transaction is complete ie log them as fraud as they have not actually left the account.

Im assuming that the payments was of a pending state at the time of your query.
