Faster Payments Lost Money

I sent a faster payments from a Santander account to a Halifax account and it arrived successfully in a few seconds. I sent a larger amount with the same details and it left the Santander account but did not arrive at the destination account. Does anyone know if I'll be able to retrieve it? It's now been 9 hours since the transaction happened and I'm afraid I might have lost the money.

As with all faster payments it may take "Until the end of the next working day" to arrive at the destination bank.
If you used the same details then don't worry, it'll arrive, given time. I would expect it to be awaiting fraud checks and such like.0 -
Grommitt is correct, however contact Santander as the transactions you have processed are very similar to how an online fraudster would wipe out your account. It may be still under their control as a fraud check.0

I'd expect it tomorrow morning, but it could be upto tomorrow night.
Since your obviously worried about it, I'd probably be ringing them up if its not credited by tomorrow afternoon, about 3pm.0 -
if you send a small amount followed by a larger amount, thats a classic situation the banks will check for fraud.0

Unfortunately, it's also the way many people (including MSE, I think) recommend you make a first payment to a new payee, ie to test you have entered the details correctly.if you send a small amount followed by a larger amount, thats a classic situation the banks will check for fraud.0
