I've seen a gadget called a 'free loader' and I'm wondering whether it's worth investing?
Can anyone advise me what sort of electrical consumption my mobile phone does / takes / makes??
At £30 for the device, I want to work out what it will save me in real cash?
Thanks
GW

Presumably you mean how much does it take to charge the battery?
It really is negligble in cost terms. A few pence per year if you charge when required. Even left on charge 24/7 it will still be very small - a pound or so a year.0 -
Thanks for the reply.
Yes that was what I was trying to ask.... sorry doing too many things at once, brain can't cope!
I'm shocked that it's only £1 a year, I would have thought it was much higher than that.
In the house, we have 5 mobile phones, we generally only charge them every week 10 days at a guess, so it's possibly not going to pay for itself (the battery only lasts 2 years)
I have considered buying it for the environmental issues, however, I presume that the environmental impact of manufacturing this item will not set the balance straight.
Thanks
