I have recently looked at a 1.4se Seat Ibiza 2012, I liked the look of it, but don't know anyone who has one, can anyone highlight any faults with this car.

Have a look on the VW or Audi forums for info on the 1.4 engine and gearbox.

Under the skin they are all VAG.

Though I personally think the Seats and Skodas are better priced and Seats nicer to look at.

I don't the Ibiza has any issues other those that would affect similar VW's, I think the Polo is the closest relative.

Any issues on a 2012 car are warranty problems so I wouldn't be overly concerned unless it has signs of being an abused hire car.

Did you drive it?

If you let people know what you were after in a car you might find some people here could suggest some alternatives to consider?

Our local run around car is an 11 plate ibiza 1.4chill, its pretty comfortable, easy to drive etc, the only issue we have had is that if it stands unused for a long time it can be difficult to start, its not ultra economical or fast but it does the job well enough and we have done a couple of long runs in it before we moved and it was comfortable enough over a 4 hour journey
