LCD TV - worth fixing??

I have a 37" Samsung LCD TV (6 years old), its OK for its age but recently its started cutting out every few hours. It doesnt go blank, like power off, it goes for about 5-10 seconds as if the ariel leads been unplugged (the white and black fuzzy screen)
Is it a common fault, or worth getting looked at? Or should i be budgeting for a new TV sometime soon?
Thanks

its a common fault in some Samsungs
It usually the 'Power Supply board' faulty
You will need a local TV engineer to look at it to confirm/fix0 -
We've probably got the same TV, 37" Samsung about the same age, sometimes it doesn't power up from cold, flashes the light a few seconds then goes off. We don't leave it on stand-by, and it ususally works on the second attempt.
When It conks for good we'll just replace it though because I want full HD and more HDMI inputs.Out on blue six..
It's Chips and Jackets, Peas and Trousers.0 -
britishboy and sickparrot would really help each other if they would quote model numbers...0
