Tiger hyperventilating

Options
Our Tiger is hyperventilating at the moment. Think neighbours dog may had barked him up a bit. So Ms BoPsie looked on the internets and some of the suggestions were quite absurd.

I can guarantee, he is not pregnant!

As for the rest, well!

Its probably got a problem with its teeth. Don#t give it any foood for 6 hours, then open the cage and stick your head in its mouth. If you can report back to us, tell us what happened.

Tigers do not make good pets. They are too excitable. This would be a better bet.

My boy cat has hyperventilated a few times when he's been outside and maybe been scared & run home. The vet found he'd got an arythmia in his heart beat so to keep him calm and avoid panic situations.

That diagnosis was 6 years ago and he just carries on as normal. I'm mindful of the situation and I don't let him out all night anymore so he doesn't bump into foxes or badgers. I also don't wind him up too much when he has to take pills or have his claws trimmed. If he gets fretful too long, I'll stop and try later.

    Hope Tiger is fine.
