Halifax Clarity - safer to apply by phone

I applied a month ago online, heard nothing from them. Wondered if there's been a glitch sp reapplied online and on the last page it said I can't apply as I already have an application pending. Waited another week and phoned up and was told my application was 'incomplete'. I said in what way (as the system didn't allow you to move to next page if you'd not answered a q) but the man from Hx said 'I can't answer that, it's locked into the computer system!'. He told me all I could do was wait 30 days from my original application and then I could reapply online. As I didn't want to risk a repeat I did it over phone in about 15 mins and should get card in a week. Cost me a fair bit as I've been abroad 3 times and could have saved about £50 so far in money exchange fees

When I applied I did it online and got an instant accept, this was last June. Found it fairly straightforward, although it took a while for the card to turn up, and they sent a ream of paperwork out to sign and return, despite the online application.

Applied 3 days ago - yes, instant response. And a new account immediately added to the list of my others. With £2200 credit limit. :)

The only issue is that I didn't want that much on this card, but the system now does not allow me to change the limit, presuming that I want to increase it - and for this at least 6 months is needed.
(Barclaycard CC allow decresing the limit online whenever you want it to.)

But I can live with it. :)
