But the short answer (with some caveats) to your requirement to, instead of risking your pension pot on investments to risk it on a property instead,  is yes you can take all the money out of your pension pot,  pay most likely a huge amount of tax on it, and then buy whatever you want, be that a property or a lamborghini, with whats left.

What you mean is that you want to risk it on an illiquid asset that is subject to risk and higher taxation instead of a liquid asset that is subject to risk and subject to lower taxation.

The answer is yes you can.    Whether it is the right thing or not is a different thing.
