Hi guys, you may remember some rantings way back about Halifax and them shafting me over a payment that should never have been made? Yeah this is nowt to do with that issue but a quick question regards my account....
Since the problems I had with Halifax I lost all trust in them and have stopped using my account at all. It has no overdraft and is currently 26p in credit :j all of my income now goes into my OH's bank account, of which I have authority but I am not named on. My question is, would it be best to just close the account and get a new basic account or let it lay dormant?

The best is to switch it to some other account for a cashback, e.g. First Direct or Santander 123.0

Personally I'd keep it as a back up account.Im an ex employee RBS GroupHowever Any Opinion Given On MSE Is Strictly My Own0

Keep 1p in the account and keep asking for replacement cards, pin reminders and make sure you get a paper statement each monthI spent 25 years in the mobile industry, from 1994 to 2019. Worked for indies as well as the big networks, in their stores also in contact centres. I also hold a degree in telecoms engineering so I like to think I know what I’m talking about 😂0

Keep it until you find an account that you like and that pays you to switch to.0

Thanks guys, I think I'll keep it
trouble is I would only get a basic account with my awful credit rating!!

If it's a current account (and not Easycash etc), then convert it into a Reward account and earn £5/month.0
