Where could i get a few wooden pallets from for my home?

in In my home (includes DIY) MoneySaving
I want to try some DIY sofa with some pallets but where do I get them from!? free is always a bonus.

I live in a city, and know ive seen them wlaking around before quite often just lying around, Im sure they are not far off but not being a warehouse worker i wouldnt know where to hunt for them.

    Put a wanted ad on freecycle
    Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.

    Go to the companies and ask. I have asked electrical wholesalers and plumber merchants I never had a 'no' yet many are pleased for you to take them

    Bare in mind some pallets are very heavy you can get smallish ones too. Wear gloves I had a few splinters in my time I used to collect around 4-5 in car to burn on stove but I now give most of that up now
