I recently stayed in a hotel with faulty air con - the room was stuck at 28 degrees! It was booked through an agent as part of a package. We complained immediately, and after 24hours the issue was not resolved. We checked out, and had to find our own alternative accommodation. What's the best way to go about getting a refund for the additional hotel costs? Hitting a brick wall with the original agent. Please help!!!!!

Who was your contract with? If it was a package, it would most likely be the tour operator.

The contract was with an agent - he has passed the complaint on to his supplier, although all the payments and correspondence were with the agent. The hotel offered 4 alternative rooms, each with broken air con, unable to be fixed by maintenance. It was 30 degrees outside, 28 inside. There was working air con in the hotel lobby. We dealt with the hotel, and also the agent spoke with the hotel. Neither of us had any success.0
