Twitter Account Being Compromised

For the third time in a week, I've had an email telling me that my password has been reset because Twitter believe that my account has been compromised by a website or service not associated with Twitter.
The emails are genuine but I was wondering what could be causing this? The only apps I have associated with Twitter are Competwition, Amazon and Pinterest and I haven't used any other websites with my Twitter details.
Could it be possible that someone is reporting me for spam? I only have companies and other compers on my Twitter account.
Is anyone else getting this?
Thank you.

I think something happened (what, I don't know) last Wednesday night or there abouts.
Three people I know (who don't know each other) were hacked within a very short period of time on the 25th.0 -
The same thing has happened to me today, I've had to reset my password.ABCDEFGHIJKL:jNOPQRSTUVWXYZ0

Yes, a small book publisher I know is telling people on Facebook not to open any links sent to them supposedly from the publisher's twitter address.0

This has happened 6 times in the past week now. It's getting ridiculous. I change my password each time and it's still happening.2019 Wins
