Hi, grannybiker
Twitter believes that your account may have been compromised by a website or service not associated with Twitter. We've reset your password to prevent others from accessing your account.
You'll need to create a new password for your Twitter account. You can select a new password at this link:
blah-blah
I did try and log in, doublechecking my typing first and it didn't recognise my password, so assumed it was genuine....
Seems a few on Facebook have had it too. Must be all those re-tweets & regular Friday bans :rotfl:!

It gave me the option to check which apps had access after I'd changed my password, so I revoked it for all except Twitaculous & UnfollowWorse things will have happened in the world today..."The only thing that really matters, it to love and to be loved."0

PHISING:
They will use the e-mail address they sent the phising mail to you and hope you use the same details for e-bay and paypal or online banking.
Anyone who has attempted to log in revealing their password start worrying what else you use the same password for .
They now have your E-mail, the secondry E-mail you use associated with twitter, your name as they can access your twitter and any common password you use.Be happy...;)0 -

I always generate one through roboform so no chance of any being the same
Edit: The email was genuinely from twitter as I tried to log on (I typed the address not through and links) and my password wouldn't workA strong man stands up for himself, a stronger man stands up for others.0 -
I have just had the same thing happen, both twitter accounts from different emails. I didn't click the link just incase, I went straight to twitter and tried to log in.
On both, it told me I need to reset my passwords.
We all must of entered something dodgey.
Scanning my pc just in case too.0 -
I got the same email too. All the links are genuine, but to be safe I logged in and generated a new password.
The last thing I used twitter for yesterday was some Competwition entries, anyone else?Only in our dreams are we free.
The rest of the time we need wages.

Yes, happened to me too.
So I went to my Twitter link saved in my favourites and logged in and reset that way.
I knew this was genuine as I had this happen with my normal non-comping twitter account last year.
The last one I did on Twitter was @Falconbags - in fact that was the only Tweet I did yesterday.0 -
Happened to me earlier today so I changed it but now I've just had the same email again. Anyone know what's going on?best wins to date-£500, 48 theme park tickets, Holiday to Italy+£250, Venus makeover package, laptops, pro-audio gear, £500 B&Q, £1500 Gucci bag, £1000 Maplin0
