Break late October/November

OH has suggested we go away for a short holiday. I'd like somewhere with some warmth I think. Somewhere different. I thought of Dubai or Abu Dhabi having never been there before although I understand it can be very expensive. I don't really want a flight longer than that - I don't think! Just looking for any other suggestions someone may have please? Thanks.

Cape Verde? I am off there this week.0

I have also been to Bahrain at this time. Somewhat restrictive (!) but hot.0

Looks like Cape Verde middle of November. Will pm you Annie
.
Update:
Whilst it looks good I don't like the sound of it being on RED alert for Ebola.
Now looking at Gran Canaries. At this rate we'll end up going to Scotland or down to Cornwall!:)0 -
My wife and I have just returned from Cape Verde (Sal). Spent a week in the 5* Salinas Sea Atlantic Hotel, absolute fabulous. All inclusive and that was 24 Hours.
Great Climate 28-30 everyday and even the evenings were not much less.
Total price for two of us was £1100, you would be troubled to find Half board in Tenerife for that.
No rain in Cape Verde.0 -
Egypt is lovely and warm at that time of year.0

Last year we did Morocco late October - flight is quite short and prices are dirt cheap out there, and weather was gorgeous0

Picking up on your initial thoughts of Dubai or Abu Dhabi, how about the next Emirate along - Ras al-Khaimah. To help with your views on the expense of the area you could look at going on the all-inclusive plan option at the Hilton Ras al-Kaimah. It's a nice beach front hotel. Dubai is about 50 minutes drive away so you can still experience all that Dubai has to offer such as the shopping, water parks etc.0

What about RHYL or Margate0

I think that is very misleading, my experience is completely different. Only last month we had a week fully inclusive in Gran Canaria for under £1k. Having been to Tenerife last year and Fuerteventura twice before that, they are much the same. The questions that get the best answers are the questions that give most detail....0
