UKHD deal Curry's Hotpoint WMF760P washing machine taken payment from credit card.

around 28 july 2013 curry's had special offer on Hotpoint WMF760P washing machine at £79.91. then curry's cancelled the order.
few weeks later my cc statement arrived showing debit for washing machine.
contacted their help desk was ensured payment not taken and would show up as refunded on next statement.
you guessed right curry's have taken payment for this deal and not refunded monies or delivered product.
This was pointed out on HDUK at the time, not the first time they have done fantastic offers like this, then cancelled customer order, end of business quarter deal to rake in monies for the share holders.

Considering it's been posted here and not consumer rights it's more than likely OP has received a refund.

Currys take payment immediately to secure payment then arrange shipping.

As it's a clear mistake and no contract was formed the payment would of been refunded, This is not a offer and if people think companies deliberately do it, they are mistaken. It causes more manhours to fix and damage to reputation than the "boost" of a few thousand to the bottom line that gets refunded within a few days.
