SALE!!! ???
They were £12.99 a little while back. Have they ever been sold for more?Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
It has been this price before.
It doesn't have over charge protection, nor does it have built in voltmeter or charge indicator.
The major drawback of this model is that the battery has to be disconnected before charging so better make sure you have your radio code, alarm code etc.0 -
Have you watched the video? It sounds like a direct, unedited, Google translation from the German instruction sheet.0

The instruction sheet says that it switches to maintenance mode once the battery is fully charged. That, I would assume, would prevent overcharging?
There is also an LED to indicate charging and another to show fully charged.
Having to disconnect the battery is a bit of a PITA but probably not necessary on the car I intend to use it on.0 -
I have one of these (very good) and have never disconnected the battery before charging. The unit does not start to charge until you connect the leads and select a mode anyway (so it prevents sparking).0

I've got one as well. As above, no probs.PLEASE NOTEMy advice should be used as guidance only. You should always obtain face to face professional advice before taking any action.0

FYI the unit stops charging when the battery is "full" and the battery doesn't need to be disconnected. I emailed the manufacturer to clarify before purchasing.
Their response was that you can leave the vehicle terminals connected. I followed their advice without adverse consequences.0 -
They also have 3w cree LED focus beam torches £7.99 .
£29.99 in Argos.Be happy...;)0 -
I have 2 of these connected and powered all winter on a couple of motorbikes
They cause no issue whatsoever with over-charging etc.Change is inevitable, except from a vending machine.0
