WATCH OUT, Scottish Power is about
A Switch takes about 6 weeks, so to avoid early Exit penalties apply to the new supplier appx. 2 weeks before the end of your present tariff - This means that you will be on SP's Standard tariff for appx, 4 weeks.
Watch Out ? - There has been a spate of recent posts complaing that although the writers had done the above, SP were still slamming Exit fee's onto
the Final Bill - Their excuse when challanged was that the new supplier had contacted them before the End Date of the SP tariff, which is pure rubbish
The standard across the industry and in the T & C's is that the Switch date is the day the new supplier begins the supply, not the day they began the Switch process - If this happens to you don't faf about with phone calls or Emails, go straight for the jugular with a letter headed Complaint0 -
Mine is the Online Fixed Nov 2013 which doesn't have an exit fee.
So I'm jumping ship and going with First Utility iSave V9 April 2015 which is fractionally cheaper than the SP Dec 2014 and is four months longer and so cover the next two wintersNever under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0 -

Hope you've read the other threads on here regarding First Utility. General opinion seems to be that their initials are most appropriate.
