I am perfectly willing to allow the CSA to chase him - if they can find him, good luck to them!
Also, we are not a family of 7 living on £1200 p/m. I assume you are including the cats? We are a family of 5 living on roughly £1900 p/m. At the time of posting my SOA I hadn't included my partner's wage other than the portion that he pays into my account purely to cover his half of our bills. With the rest of his wages - that he spends on probably 90% of our other expenses - it is £1900.
I signed up to this site for help. I didn't sign up to be abused. If that's how it is going to be then thanks but no thanks, I'll figure it out on my own.0 -
MW3, if your partner spends the rest of his wage on joint expenses, you really need to include those in the SOA to give a better overall picture and allow people to suggest where you could trim. (If it's just spending on him it's different.)
...unless you mean the groceries he pays for?Mortgage when started: £330,995

You know he is on a boat, so he has no relationship with his children?
revise your soa to take into account that your partner does not indeed spend 600 a month on himself.....0 -
No he has almost no relationship with his children. He has not been to see them since just before Christmas last year. He doesn't phone them or even contact me to find out how they are.
This is our revised SOA. It still doesn't include groceries and petrol as I have no idea how much we've been spending on those so I would like to set a reasonable budget for those and stick rigidly to them.

Although you may not have any idea of costings, you must make some allowance for expenses for the two cars, such as road tax, fuel and maintenance.
You really need to factor in groceries/clothes/haircuts etc to get a better idea of whether you have sufficient 'left over' for unsecured debts.
There are a few things you can renegotiate such as House & Contents insurance....you are paying well over the odds.
Get a PPC for your medicines, that is only £104 per year. Not the £336 odd that you're paying now.
As for the unsecured debts...if you haven't the spare income, you can't pay. Perhaps you could arrange with them to pay a nominal sum each month by d/d until such time as your circumstances improve ?
AND....give the CSA a call. It won't do you any harm.0 -
The 28.90 is for OH's contact lenses - they're not covered by a PPC are they? We have NHS exemption cards for prescriptions.
Definitely going to sort out cheaper house and contents insurance - didn't realise we are paying over the odds.
Not sure if its worth looking into getting a water meter installed?0
