This sort of music is common in other South American countries too though. Bolivia and Ecuador especially, though it's found throughout the Andes and even further afield. It's also kind of known as "South American", so news editors might well just stick it in a clip even if it wasn't particularly relevant to the area. It might well be Peru, but I wouldn't count on it. Hopefully we'll get some more clues once people have been to the various places listed on the website as having codes!0
