Renewal of BT Line Rental saver with E&W call plan

I currently have Evening & Weekends with BT and last year paid the Line Rental Saver. The E&W package with Line Rental is shown on the bill as £15.45 so the Evenings call package is free.

If I renew the Line Rental Saver online will I be able to keep my free evenings or will I need to renegotiate by phone?

I had a letter, a few days ago, advising that I could keep the free E&W package free, if I renewed for another 12 months before November 1st. However, on calling I was told my prepaid year ends on October 26th, so if I was going to renew, I'd do it by phone, because of this ambiguity, although the letter suggests doing so by phone or internet (special link given).

Part of my problem is that they made a mess of my order last October when I agreed a new 12 months contract for E&W calls free. At that point I elected to pay the Line Rental Saver.

First bill in November saw me being charged for the Line Rental plus the extra for the evening calls package. The Line rental Saver paid for the line rental part but left me with an extra £3pm approximately to pay.

This was sorted out in November by starting a new contract with it being done properly but of course the dates are now out of sync with one another.

I'd really like them aligned again but not sure where to start exactly.

The Evening calls are not free, they're inclusive.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

Yes, BT don't give anything away.

Depends on the way you look at it. If I didn't agree to a new 12 months contract the Evening calls would be £2pm extra. So Weekend calls inclusive but Evening calls are "free".

My recent BT letter says the evening and weekends call package is £3.50.

Thanks. On looking back to last year's bill when they made a complete mess of it, it was an extra £3.15. No ide where I got £2 from.

Anyway I emailed the same BT person that sorted out the problem last year. This morning I got a reply which simply sent links to their website. None of the actual questions I had asked were answered - it was almost as if they hadn't even bothered to read it but just sent a standard reply with links to their website.

Not really impressed so far and may well look elsewhere.
