This is just a little reminder that, because we never had a Jacobean revolution, we still live under a Feudal system.
Nobody owns land in this country except the Queen. It's the same in Aus, Canada, NZ and British Antarctica etc..
My understanding is that if you 'buy' land, it's only in the US (and France arguably) that you actually own the land under your feet.0 -
yep i'm talking about no doubt they're making a nice tidy sum from their house sale, what's £200 out of £20000.
end of the day they have to pay it, no point whinging about it
Making so much they are having to move out of the area they moved from Birmingham to reitre to 15 years ago and move back up north 200 miles to a cheaper area?
Whichever way you try and justify it, it's £200 they have worked for. Another way of looking at 'profit' in a home, is that they have to buy somewhere else, which has also risen, or move somewhere else.
You laugh when I tell you to do it, but it's ok for them.
